Daisy Nook Country Park

In response to enthusiastic support for the memorial benches in Daisy Nook, Oldham Council has generously provided additional land for the planting of memorial trees. This new initiative allows families to create lasting tributes by planting a memorial tree in the parks serene and natural setting, further enhancing the already stunning landscape.

The Daisy Nook Memorial Forest is designed as a tranquil retreat for families and friends to celebrate and reflect. Situated within the beloved Daisy Nook Country Park, the memorial forest provides an enduring connection to nature, offering a peaceful environment for contemplation and remembrance.

The main planting area, affectionately called the "Bee Field," is a diverse, pollinator-friendly meadow. Life for a Life will enhance it by managing the meadow, meaning it will receive an annual cutting and arisings collection each September to mimic a natural grazing cycle and reduce nutrient levels, both crucial components for wildflower meadow management.

Life for a Life planting areas are natural environments where we encourage wildlife and plant life to flourish, as such additional items should not be added to the tree or the space around it, especially as they can cause damage to the tree.

Please be aware that any prohibited items left on, or around memorial trees will be removed.
