We are delighted to introduce the Oldham Edge Memorial Forest, a meaningful space dedicated to remembering loved ones. Situated on the expansive Oldham Edge, this picturesque area of grassland, moorland, and mixed woodland plantations offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views.

Thanks to the generous support of Oldham Council, we have created a special place where you can commemorate your loved ones. By planting a memorial tree in this beautiful forest, you contribute to a living tribute that will grow and flourish as a lasting symbol of remembrance.

Standing at 247 meters above sea level, Oldham Edge is a prominent landmark visible from many parts of Oldham. It overlooks Higginshaw Village to the east, Royton to the north, and the Oldham centre to the west and south. Known for its expansive grassland, moorland, and mixed woodland, the Edge is a popular destination for dog walkers and nature enthusiasts, offering stunning vistas toward the Cheshire Plains.

The Oldham Edge Memorial Forest provides a area for reflection and remembrance. As you stroll through the forest, you'll experience a sense of peace amid the natural beauty of the area.

Parking is conveniently available off Henshaw Street, providing easy access to the Memorial Forest.

Life for a Life planting areas are natural environments where we encourage wildlife and plant life to flourish, as such additional items should not be added to the tree or the space around it, especially as they can cause damage to the tree.

Please be aware that any prohibited items left on, or around memorial trees will be removed.
