Opened Autumn 2009. This area of land has been graciously donated by Lancashire County Council and dedicated to the memory of Rosemary Bullivant, a long serving member of the Lancashire County Council Countryside service department.
This Life for a Life Memorial Forest is not one of the easiest of planting sites to find. We would strongly advise you to use a satellite navigation system to find the area. The postcode is PR3 2NL, which will direct you to the Bowland Visitor Centre.
Set in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Northwest of England. The planting site itself overlooks a panoramic view of the Preston Plain. On clear days, from the planting site Blackpool Tower and the Welsh Mountains can easily be seen in the distance. The whole of “Beacon Fell” abounds with wildlife.
This lovely site is a very client friendly area, there is easy access to the memorial forest and is in very close to facilities and a well appointed Visitors Centre in which there is a Cafe area and Information Centre.
