Description

Opened December 2008, this area of land owned by Manchester City Council in a growing partnership with Life for a Life is very easily accessed from Charnwood Road. Some parking facilities on planting days only is available with ample roadside parking very nearby for visitors. A small quantity of fruit trees have been planted to create a windfall fruit orchard within this memorial forest.


Originally this land formed part of the ‘Pike Fold’ golf course and is situated a short drive away from Heaton Park.


Around the memorial tree planting area a screen of young Hawthorne trees have been planted and over time will form a protective barrier from which the memorial trees will benefit from.
