This extensive area of land was opened in September 2006 as an addition to the already well established Dovestone Memorial Forest, where many memorial trees are already planted and thriving.
It is understood that this newly developed area will be in exceptionally high demand, with some magnificent views across the Dovestone Reservoir and with the popular landmarks of Pots and Pans and the Dove Stone visible nearby.
The planting area sits directly beneath a group of small crags that are known locally as “The Indian’s Head” due to their resemblance to a Native American Indian’s face.
This planting site is located within the spectacular Peak District National Park. With this in mind, measures will be taken with specific regard and consideration to the conservation of wildlife.
Due to the nature of the terrain, this site is not suitable for people with poor mobility. Therefore we recommend visiting this site before ordering a memorial tree.
