Tandle Hill ( NEW AREA AVAILABLE) please contact us for a map of the location
Tandle Hill Road
Due to high demand from the local community, Oldham Council have graciously donated a piece of land over towards the rear of the park for the planting of memorial trees.
The aim of this new plantation is to create a natural memorial forest for all park users to enjoy. A 2.5" diameter circular plaque now replaces the standard 6"x4" rectangle plaque. This new plaque will accommodate a 20 word sentiment of your choosing. It will be sited on top of the tree stake and no longer on a post in front of your tree. The stake will remain at your tree for a period of 5 years, after which the stake will be removed and the plaque will be attached to the tree. For more information please contact us on 0161 624 2299.
This memorial forest will be made up of majority Oak trees, to restore what was historically a oak woodland. The area around the memorial trees will be cut with access routes into the woodland. The majority of the area will be left wild to protect the wildlife habitats.
The closest pedestrian access to this new area is from the Oozewood Road entrance. There is also access from the main car park. We will send you a map of this new location with your order confirmation.
There is no longer space available for trees in the original planting area near the Rotary Wheel.
