This site was been graciously donated by Lancashire County Council and opened November 2004 and is a truly beautiful planting site. It is situated only 500 metres away from the centre of Wycoller village, which can be traced back to beyond 1,000 BC.

Wycoller Hall is mentioned several times in the Brontë sisters’ books. This historic building is also within easy walking distance of the planting area.

From the actual planting site there are magnificent views of the Pennine Chain, and Pendleside can be easily seen and enjoyed.

As with all other ‘Life for a Life’ Memorial Forests’ sites, the area teems with wildlife and an abundance of wild flowers grow in the valley as you approach the site. Therefore we ask all of our clients and visitors to respect the natural order of this site by NOT planting non-native flowers and refrain from contravening the countryside code.
